RJ45 Cat6a Plug Designed for Field Installation in Above-Ceiling Applications
This Cat6a RJ45 shielded plug simplifies the installation of devices in an above-ceiling application where installing a face plate isn't practical or where outlets, jacks and patch cords must be plenum rated. Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) topology allows a Cat6a cable to be terminated to the N238-P01-MPTL-A plug, which then connects to a Type 3 or Type 4 PoE device, such as a WAP (Wireless Access Point) or surveillance camera.

Delivers Type 3 and Type 4 Power over Ethernet to Security Cameras and Other PoE Devices
Because this Cat6a shielded plug supports PoE++/4PPoE and High-Power PoE applications, it helps deliver power to PoE devices requiring up to 100 watts, such as security cameras, access control devices and large-screen displays for digital signage. This saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, including ceilings.

Assembles Easily with No Special Tools Required
The die-cast zinc plug is made for fast, reliable terminations in the field with just a wire stripper/cutter. It accommodates 22–26 AWG solid or stranded cabling and 6.5–8.5 mm cable jacket diameters. Ideal for assembling high-performance patch cords in a hurry, the N238-P01-MPTL-A can be re-terminated as many as 20 times. An IDC cap and a dust cap are included.
