Toshiba MK1655GSX Internal Hard Drive Data Storage

The 160GB MK1655GSX drive belongs to the new MKxx55GSX series which offers capacities from 120GB to 500GB, while offering 0.0012W/GB power consumption efficiency in operation. The 5400 rpm drives have been specifically developed for devices such as ultra-portable notebooks, which must balance performance capabilities and long battery life. Due to the “Silent-Seek” technology featured in these drives, the HDDs are extremely quiet. The ultra silent single-platter drives (120GB, 160GB and 250GB) boast acoustic specifications of 20dB (seek) and 19dB (idle) making them almost indistinguishable to the human hear. The new drives incorporate the latest SATA Interface and support a 3.0Gbit/s interface data transfer rate. In addition, they offer, as an option, the Free Fall Sensor Technology to protect your drive from unexpected rough handling.
The new MK1655GSX Model is ideal not only for OEMs and systems integrators under pressure to develop new mobile computing and storage products with more capacity and improved performance specifications, but as well as consumer electronic manufacturers of audio visual devices. Production of embedded hard disk drives appearing in television sets and DVD HDD recorders is increasing in Europe. The growing availability of instant audio and visual content demonstrates consumer demand for downloadable viewing.
The complete drive series is halogen-free, and boasts 20% improvement in increased energy consumption efficiency, lower CO2 emmision of 95g a year less, RoHS compatible and is a certified Toshiba ECP Product.
