Extending its position in the enterprise storage market, Toshiba Storage Device Division offers its new family of enterprise-class solid state drives (eSSDs). The MKx001GRZB uses the latest 32 nanometer (nm) enterprise grade single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory from Toshiba and 6 Gb/sec Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface..
The 2.5-inch (6.4cm) eSSD is available in three levels of capacity, 100, 200, and 400GB and is designed for use in demanding enterprise environments, such as servers, direct-attached storage and network-attached storage.
The MKx001GRZB delivers performance of 90,000 read and 17,000 write IOPS2 and sustained 510MB/sec read and 230MB/sec write throughput. Combined with a low power requirement of only 6.5 Watts at operation, Toshiba’s eSSD family also delivers an industry-leading power efficiency.
