FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR
Fiber optic connectors are designed to connect optical fibers. They allow to switch and connect optical lines. Thanks to the highest quality optical connectors the lowest attenuation is guaranteed. Each connector is different, depending on the type of optical fiber and the size and polishing method of the ferrule. Ferrula is a tube, which is made of ceramic sinter and it is a cover and guide for optical fiber in connector.
LC/APC CONNECTORS
The advantage of LC connectors is their small size, which makes them suitable for use in areas that have a high density of switching fields. They also have a latching locking system, which prevents the connector from being accidentally pulled out. LC connectors are used in LAN, WAN and FTTD networks, on railroads, in telecommunication networks, in cable TV networks and in measurement technology. The APC connector has a polished ferrule face at an angle of 8 degrees, so that the phenomenon of reflectance, which occurs when light passes through the border of media, has much less influence on the attenuation of the connector.
