This Gigabit Ethernet expansion card option provides each blade server with two additional Gigabit ports. This option increases capacity, allows for expansion of the Ethernet I/O subsystem, enables additional bandwidth and allows for connection to multiple LAN segments. It works in conjunction with the Optical Pass-thru Module, the Nortel Networks Switch Module and the IBM Ethernet Switch Module.
