This DLTVS tape backup option is a compact, high-density storage device that provides excellent storage capacity for entry to midrange server applications. Its 5.25-inch, half-high form factor enables economical internal installation into many IBM eServer xSeries servers. It can store up to 80GB of data in native mode and 160GB in compressed mode. The DLTVS 160 tape drive is a second generation device with read compatibility to the DLTVS 80 tape drive. Both the DLTVS 80 and DLTVS 160 tape drives are positioned in the entry/midrange of the server market and are the lead in products to the SDLT tape drives.
