A fiber optic cable is required for attaching the IBM SAN Fibre Channel Managed Hub to the host system adapters, or other storage area Fibre Channel components. The cable can be customer-supplied, or ordered with the Managed Hub in the lengths available. The attaching fiber cable must be 50.0/125 micrometers for distances up to 500 meters, or 62.5/125 micrometers for distances up to 175 meters. The connection is a duplex SC connector type.
